AOE First Edition OP VS Regular OP
This compares both Age Of Extinction Leader-Class Optimus Prime figures. The larger one is the Amazon-Exclusive First Edition.
As robots, neither of these figures are very great. The ROTF Leader OP makes these look and feel like Chinese Knock-Off toys. However, I will say that the truck mode of the First Edition is awesome. Probably my favorite truck mode of any Bayverse OP figure. It's nice and large and well detailed with rubber tires and looks great.
The FE is much larger than the regular figure, especially in truck mode. Also, the FE is basically just a giant "Shellformer". He's literally just a robot inside a truck shell. No creativity in the design. The other one is a bit better.

G1 Mini Vehicles
Here are some group photos of all of my G1 Mini Vehicles. I love these pics!
And yes, they are ALL Autobots!
I don't have every G1 Mini Vehicle ever released, but I have most of them. I'm missing Red Bumblebee, Yellow Cliffjumper, Hubcap, and the super rare and expensive Bumblejumper (also called Bumper).
I think they look great together.

G1 Optimus Prime & Powermaster Optimus Prime
Here are some pics comparing G1 Optimus Prime with Powermaster Optimus Prime.
There's not much to say. They are COMPLETELY different. But both really awesome toys! I really love them both!

G1 Hot Rod & Rodimus Prime
This shows G1 Hot Rod & Rodimus Prime side-by-side. Their colors are almost exactly the same. Rodimus is, of course, taller than Hot Rod since he grows after acquiring the Matrix. But their robot modes are very similar in design.
I actually think Hot Rod's robot mode looks a little better than Rodimus's. Rodimus just looks a little weird in robot mode.
Both vehicle modes look pretty great, though Rodimus's vehicle mode with the trailer is one of my favorite TF vehicle modes of all time, so I'm going to have to say he slightly edges out Hot Rod in that category.
Hot Rod is the first release, not the Targetmaster version.

G1 Ironhide & Ratchet
Eerily similar to G1 Sideswipe and Red Alert, we have G1 Ironhide & Ratchet. Like Sideswipe & Red Alert, these 2 Autobots are exactly the same mold with the only differences being the lights on top of Ratchet's Alt Mode and the colors. Even the colors are the same as Sideswipe and & Red Alert respectively!
These are very weird molds. The vans are cool but the robot modes are nuts! I can't wait for the Masterpiece versions of these to come out!

G1 Insecticons
Here are the 3 main G1 Insecticons together. Kickback and Shrapnel are in pretty good shape. Bombshell has some chrome-wear but is still pretty good.
I think they look great together!
What doesn't make sense is people are paying $80 for the new Platinum Edition reissues of these right now when you can get each one of these original G1 insecticons in very nice or even near-mint condition for around $15 each! Crazy people!

G1 Triple Changers Blitzwing & Astrotrain
These 2 bots aren't really related character-wise but they are the most common and popular Decepticon Triple-Changers from G1 and often seen together so I thought I would take some group photos of them.
They are both great toys. I like the purple on them. Their color schemes are very similar.
These are both being reissued in a Platinum Edition in a weird orange color scheme. I will always like the purple better.

FOC Data Discs & Masters
Here's some cool photos. It shows the complete set of the FoC data discs with their "masters". Blaster, Soundwave, and Soundblaster. And, yes, I did have 3 FOC Blasters at one time! I got them as extras in some eBay auctions so I ended up with 3. One went to Cindy! I still have the other 2.
1 of the Blaster figures has a custom paint job (which I didn't do, it came like that) and it looks really nice! I took some pictures comparing the stock Blaster to the custom one. The custom one has the legs and feet painted and it looks much better than the original.

MP-1 OP VS MP-10 OP
This shows MP-1 Optimus Prime next to MP-10 Optimus Prime.
After the first few Masterpiece Transformers, Takara decided that the scale they were using for MP TFs was too big and decided to down-size the scale on future figures. This new smaller scale started with MP-10 Optimus Prime. As OP was the first character to be done for the Masterpiece line (MP-1), he was also the first character to be done for the new smaller-scale MP line. Every MP TF released after MP-10 was in the smaller scale except the MP-11 Starscream mold which was just a retool of the MP-3 mold. I guess they figured the Seekers were already the correct scale so they didn't create a new mold for them.
MP-10 is much smaller than MP-1, but more screen accurate in my opinion. He also has a better design and stands up much better. I absolutely love MP-10 and so do most other people. MP-1 is still awesome, but not quite as good as MP-10. This MP-1 is 2006 version and thus has the orangish paint rather than the red.

MP-10 OP VS MP-22 UM
These pictures compare 2 of my favorite Masterpiece figures. MP-10 Optimus Prime and MP-22 Ultra Magnus.
MP-10 is the Hasbro version with the lighter blue parts.
This is mainly to just compare coloring and size and also just to see 2 awesome figures together!
Even though both truck cabs look very similar on the outside, they are completely different molds. They have almost nothing in common other than size and looks.

A comparison of the original G1 Ultra Magnus Figure with his Masterpiece counterpart. I love both of these figures. G1 UM will always be one of my favorite TF figures, but the MP looks much more screen accurate and is larger and heavier.

Alternators Jazz VS Binaltech Red Jazz
This shows the USA Alternators Jazz next to the Japanese Binaltech Red Jazz. Both of these guys are officially called "Meister" but I like to call them Jazz!
The Alternators Jazz has the reprolabels applied. Normally he's just a white car.
They are pretty much the exact same mold. The only differences are the color and the Binaltech version uses die cast metal for some of the parts (which makes it much heavier). The Alternators version is all plastic.

G1 Optimus Prime VS G2 Optimus Prime
Here is a cool comparison. G1 Optimus Prime vs G2 Optimus Prime. Both cabs are the same mold. The main difference being that G2 OP has a lighter, more vibrant blue than the G1. Also G2 OP has the G2 Autobot symbol on the back of his leg.
The trailers are also the same mold however the G2 version came with an extra sound box that clips on to the front of the trailer that makes sounds. Also the G2 version came with some large red missiles and launchers which the G1 didn't have.
Both of these figures are in really nice condition.

G1 Skydive VS G2 Skydive
This is another interesting photo study of a G1 figure vs its G2 counterpart. Unlike with Optimus Prime (seen in another group photo comparison), the G2 version of Skydive is noticeably cheaper-made. The plastic feels cheaper and crappier and the figure even looks worse as far as the finish is concerned. It might be kind of hard to see in photos. The G2 is the blue one.
Also, the G1 is made in Japan where the G2 is made in China. These are both members of the Superion combiner. G2 copied a lot of the G1 figures but with different and more vibrant color schemes.

Generations Wheeljack VS United Wheeljack
Here is Generations Deluxe Wheeljack along side his Japanese counterpart United Wheeljack. They are the exact same mold with paint app differences.
The Japanese version is the one with the darker, more teal-like metallic green paint. He's on the right in vehicle mode and on the left in robot mode.
The United Wheeljack has metallic paint and an outlined Autobot logo. But it does not have the back window painted like the Generations one does.

G1 Optimus Prime VS MP-10 Masterpiece OP
This shows 2 of the best Transformers ever released. And probably my 2 favorite in my collection.
You can see that the MP OP is much larger but is very similar to the G1. The MP looks MUCH better in robot mode obviously, but both of their truck modes are excellent.
I didn't put the fists on G1 OP in these pics, but I do have them.

TFP Beast Hunters Optimus Prime Figures
Here's a comparison between the TFP Voyager Optimus Prime (Yes! That small little truck is a Voyager Class! :P ) and TFP Ultimate Class Optimus Prime.
It's not that the Voyager OP is really small, it's just that the Ultimate OP is huge!
I REALLY like the design of the Beast Hunters Optimus Prime figures. I think they are really cool looking and really like the head sculpts. Also, the green is awesome.
There is also a smaller Cyberverse OP figure with this same design but I got him after these pics were taken. Maybe someday I'll update the pics with all 3 compared!

TFP Voyager Ultra Magnus Figures
Here are the 2 Voyager-Class Ultra Magnus figures in the Transformers: Prime line. The long Firetruck-looking one is the original release and the one that looks like a semi-truck is the Beast Hunters version.
The original one is a unique mold only to this figure. The BH one is a remold/retool of the Voyager TFP Optimus Prime figure. His shoulders and chest are the main retooling done. The rest is almost a straight remold other than the head sculpt.
The pictures will do the rest of the talking. The shades of blue are different and the head sculpts are a bit different.
I think I like the original a bit better than the BH one as far as looks goes. As for molds, I like the BH mold better.

Takara MP-14 Red Alert VS KO MP Red Alert
Here is a set of photos showing the real genuine Takara MP-14 Red Alert next to the Chinese Knock-Off (KO) version.
The KO version is ALWAYS on the right-hand side in these pictures.
The main noticeable differences between the 2 are as follows:
-The 2 car spoiler halves don't lock together near as well. I actually had to shave a little plastic off of the KO spoiler tab to get it to fit into the slot in the other one.
-The 2 halves of his head on the KO didn't fit tight together like on the Takara one, so I had to shave some plastic to get it to fit nice.
-The headlights on the KO don't have the black outline around them.
-The words on the back of the car are different.
-The 2 red lights on top of the car are a lighter shade of red on the KO.
-The door panels have a bit larger gap on the KO.
-The KO box has the red/blue gradients messed up on the Transformers logo on the front and the side of the box.
Other than these differences, they are basically identical and both look awesome.
The KO cost $30 and the Genuine Takara cost $60 and you don't get much more the extra $30!
